NF F 16-101/102: Fire Test to Railway Components
& Ecosafene Products Service Co.,Ltd have rich experience to provide NF F16-101/102 fire test to railway components
French Fire testing to railway components:NF F 16-101/NF F 16-102
Ä NF F 16-101/NF F 16-102 Fire test to railway component - Standard
ü NF F 16-101 – Railway Rolling Stock Fire Behavior Choice of Material
ü NF F 16-102 – Railway Rolling Stock Fire Behavior Choice of Material – Application for electrical equipment
Ä NF F 16-101/NF F 16-102 Fire test to railway component - Standard Brief
The purpose of this standard is to propose a method of classification of materials for rolling stock obtained from the results of standardized tests. This method of classification establishes objectives and simultaneously takes into account as much the combustion of the materials as the opacity and toxicity of the combustion emissions.
Ä NF F 16-101/NF F 16-102 Fire test to railway component - Standard Scope
The purpose of this standard is to establish rules relating to the choice of materials according to their fire behaviour with regard to reaction to fire, opacity of smoke and toxicity of gases emitted.
NF F 16-101/102 establish classification objectives and specifies the minimum classifications to be complied with according to the type of materials concerned.
NF F 16-101 is applicable to all non-metallic materials, with the exception of paintwork where they form part of passenger railcars, cabins, vans, observation railcars, wagons and their trailers, including drivers’ cabins where they exist as well as engine drivers’ cabins
For Electrical equipment it is complemented by NF F 16-102
Ä NF F 16-101/NF F 16-102 Fire test to railway component – Fire Classification
ü Burning Behaviour I rating: I0, I1, I2, I3, I4
ü Burning Behaviour M rating: M0, M1, M2, M3, M4
ü Smoke and toxicity F rating: F0, F1, F2, F3, F4, F5
Ä NF F 16-101/NF F 16-102 Fire test to railway component – Types of rolling stock
